Bhopal: Sadhvi Pragya, an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case, here on Thursday called herself a ‘victim of a Congress conspiracy’ and thanked the present government for ‘ensuring justice’.
Lashing at the Congress, Bharti said that ‘saffron terrorism’ was a phrase coined by the Congress party. She also accused Congress of misleading media against her. “Now I have nothing against anyone,” she said.
Sadhvi Pragya said that she was thankful to the court which granted her bail. “I am half-free now as I won’t be a free person until the case is underway.”
Thanking the present government for bringing her justice, Bharti alleged that she was not allowed to express herself in last nine years.
Sadhvi Pragya has been in Bhopal for the last couple of years, under custody. She has been admitted to Pt Khushilal Sharma Ayurvedic College in Bhopal and was under treatment for breast cancer.
Six people were killed and 100 people were injured in the blast. Twelve alleged ‘Hindu radicals’ including Sadhvi Pragya and Lt Col Prasad Purohit were accused of masterminding the blast. Purohit was denied bail by the HC.
