How to Open an MPP File on Android
This wikiHow teaches you how to open and view the contents of a Microsoft Project (MPP) file on an Andriod phone or tablet. MPP files usually contain schedules, tasks, budgets, resources, and other project information. You can view an MPP file in your browser online, or download a third-party app from the Google Play Store.
Steps

Using a Web Browser

Open https://projectviewercentral.com in your mobile internet browser. You can use any mobile browser like Chrome, Firefox or Opera.

Tap the green Open Free MPP Project Plan button. This will open the web-based Project Viewer 365 app on a new page. You can upload and view your MPP files in your browser here.

Scroll down and tap Browse. This is a green button near the bottom of the page. It will open a pop-up menu to select a file source on your Android. Alternatively, you can upload and open a file from a cloud service or an external URL. Just tap the option you want to use under the "Open from:" heading.

Tap Documents in the pop-up. This will open your Android's file navigator, and allow you to select your file.

Find and tap the MPP file you want to open. This will upload the selected file, and open it in your internet browser. You can view all the information in the MPP project file here.

Using gProjectViewer

Download the gProjectViewer app from the Android Google PlayPlay Store. Search "gProjectViewer" and tap the green INSTALL button to download and install it on your Android. You can reach the app's Play Store page directly at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.housatonic.hpv.

Open the gProjectViewer app on your Android. The gProjectViewer icon looks like an orange square with a red-and-white antenna in it. You can find it on your Apps menu.

Tap ALLOW in the pop-up window. When you're prompted, tap ALLOW to give the app access to your files. You will only have to do this once when you open the app for the first time.

Tap Open at the top of the menu. This is the first option under the "Open" heading. It will allow you to select a file from your local files to open. Alternatively, you can select one of the cloud options here to open a file from your cloud storage or open a file from a direct URL link.

Find and tap the MPP file you want to view. This will instantly open the selected file in the gProjectViewer app. You can view all the project details in the selected MPP file here.
