Parma: Serie A leader Juventus needed an 89th-minute goal from substitute Alvaro Morata for a 1-0 win at last-place Parma on Wednesday to advance to the Italian Cup semifinals.

Fellow Spaniard Fernando Llorente set up Morata at the edge of the area and the former Real Madrid forward dribbled past a few defenders before finding the target with a slow rolling shot.

With Carlos Tevez rested, Juventus struggled to create chances for long stretches but became dangerous in the final 10 minutes, with Claudio Marchisio having had a shot deflected high three minutes before Morata's goal.

Talented midfielder Paul Pogba added a spark when he came on for Juventus in the 71st and Morata replaced Kingsley Coman in the 77th.

"We really struggled," said Juventus goalkeeper Marco Storari, who played in place of captain Gianluigi Buffon. "They played a tough match."

In the semifinals, Juventus will face either Roma or Fiorentina, which play next week.

Ten-man Lazio advanced with a 1-0 win at AC Milan on Tuesday and will face either Napoli or Inter Milan.

Struggling Milan announced earlier that it has signed defender Salvatore Bocchetti on loan from Spartak Moscow for the rest of the season.
