New Delhi: Chola Mundalam Mutual Fund will now be known as DBS Chola Mutual Fund, following the conversion of Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Ltd to Cholamandalam DBS Finance Ltd.
All the existing schemes of Chola Mutual Fund have also been re-christened.
Cholamandalam AMC Ltd, the investment manager to the fund, will now be DBS Cholamandalam Asset Management Ltd.
"DBS Asset Management (DBSAM) welcomes and applauds the renaming of the Chola Mutual Fund series into the DBS Chola Mutual Fund series," said DBS Bank Managing Director and Head (Wealth Management)Amy Yip.
"We see this as a first step in the cooperation between ourselves in the Indian fund management market," he added.
Headquartered in Singapore, DBS serves corporate, institutional and retail customers in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and Philippines.
DBS Chola Mutual Fund, is promoted by Cholamandalam DBS Finance Ltd, a joint venture between India's Murugappa Group and DBS Bank, Singapore.
It manages funds in excess of Rs 2,750 crore across 17 schemes with over 2,31,000 investors.
