Maruti Suzuki is vigorously testing the 2018 Ciaz facelift and it has been spied testing again. However, the test unit is seen wearing heavy camouflage. The facelifted Ciaz is expected to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2018, with a launch likely around mid 2018. This is a mid-life facelift for the mid-size sedan that competes against Hyundai Verna and Honda City.
As seen from the images, the new Ciaz will get updated front and rear profile. The updated fascia will have a new grille, updated headlights and a new bumper design. It will also have a new 16-inch alloy wheels and a possible sunroof. On the back are the new LED taillights and a revised bumper design.
The interiors might remained unchanged, but can get a new colour scheme, and new upholstery. The new Ciaz is expected to continue with the same petrol and diesel engine options, which include the 1.4-litre K-Series VVT petrol unit and a 1.3-litre SHVS diesel motor.
There are no other changes to the mechanicals, apart from tuned suspension and steering. However, Maruti Suzuki may add a new diesel automatic version to suit the diesel auto customers. Maruti is already selling Ciaz through the Nexa dealerships.
