'Where Is Biden': Kamala Harris Campaign Video Stirs Big Internet Debate, Conspiracy Theorists Have A Field Day
Harris's phone call with Joe Biden raised more questions in the minds of conspiracy theorists as they try to find out why the US President is avoiding the public eye.

Social media is abuzz with theories and rumours on why US President Joe Biden has been avoiding the public eye after dropping out of the White House race. Even a call from Joe Biden to Kamala Harris at the campaign headquarters in Delaware’s Wilmington has failed to deter conspiracy theorists from making fresh claims.

The clip shared by Disclose.TV, a widely followed page on social media site X, shows US vice president and possible replacement for Joe Biden in the presidential race, Kamala Harris, speaking to Biden who is only heard saying ‘it’s mutual’ and ‘I’ve been watching you guys’ on the call as his vice president speaks putting him on speakerphone.

“It is so good to hear our President’s voice. Joe, I know you’re still on the reco… on the call… and we’ve been talking everyday,” Kamala Harris said.

“She’s the best,” Joe Biden says at one point.

Many have speculated that the phone call is originally a recording and some called the phone call ‘staged’.

The video, along with other bizarre speculations like Biden has been overthrown in a coup, has taken over social media. “Where’s Joe” is among the top trends on X even though the White House has said that Biden has tested positive for Covid and is isolating.

Some social media users have claimed ‘Joe Biden is in hospice care and unlikely to survive the night’.

Donald Trump’s running mate JD Vance floated the theory that the Democrats staged a “coup” against President Biden to push him to end his re-election bid.

“Yeah, I think it is. I mean, look, there’s a constitutional process, the 25th Amendment. If Joe Biden can’t run for president, he can’t serve as president,” Vance told US broadcaster Fox News’s Jesse Watters.

Donald Trump nodded and said “Sort of”.

It was not just Vance, the American right-wing on social media quipped and joked that the US President was being ‘held hostage’.

Fox News anchors also shared their suspicions on the letter, whose photo Joe Biden shared announcing his end of the presidential campaign, questioning why the letter did not accompany a video or photo.

“It is disconcerting, isn’t it?” Bret Baier, a Fox News host, said the entire incident was “disconcerting” while his co-host Dana Perino asked for “proof of life”.

“This is the last time Joe Biden was seen. It was five days ago. Nobody knows where he is, what he’s doing, if he’s okay, or who is running the country at the moment,” Conservative commentator Matt Walsh said.

President Joe Biden said he’s “determined to get as much done” as he possibly can in his final six months in the White House in his first statement following his announcement regarding ending his re-election campaign.

Conspiracy theorists on social media also were fixated on US President Joe Biden’s autograph in the letter claiming that it contains an underline previously not seen in his signatures.

Bill Ackman, the billionaire financier, on X questioned if the signature was authentic. “If this were a hostage situation, that letter would not qualify as proof of life,” he said.
