It is not every day that you strike gold in a literal sense so when someone does, it is a moment worth documenting. A video of a man drilling through a piece of rock to find several gold coins inside has been going viral on the internet. The video has been shared by the Instagram account The Best Archeologist, which is known to share such interesting videos.
The video shows the man drilling through a rock on what looks like mountainous ground. After drilling for some time, the man brings in a metal detector and is seen poking around the hole he made with the drilling machine. The metal detector detects something and he clears out the soil within the hole to recover a coin from inside the rock. Although the coin is missing the shine of gold, the caption of the video says that it is a gold coin. The man places the coin amongst a few more coins, suggesting that he discovered a barrage of gold coins from the region.
The man shows 20 gold coins to the camera. The video has received 2 lakh views and some people have given their reactions in the comments. However, News18 does not confirm the authenticity of the video. People who commented in the comments sections were not too convinced about the authenticity either. Many found it impossible that someone would be able to place gold coins inside a rock. Many questioned how the man knew that there were gold coins inside the rock. Yet another user said that the coins did not look like they were made of gold at all. Most of the users thought that the video was a staged one. Some believed the video to be real and said that the gold coins did not look like gold since the gold had rusted.
