People can indeed go to any extent to go viral on the internet these days. While some want fame, others do it just to put a huge smile on the faces of the viewers. Recently, a video of two young boys putting up an act to entertain not just the internet audience, but also onlookers and passers-by on the streets grabbed attention as they pretended to be a snake charmer and an icchadhari naagin. Generally, we come across the concept of icchadhari naagin, which means a shape-shifting snake, in films and serials. Sridevi in Nagina or Ektaa R Kapoor’s famous serial Naagin are some well-known examples. Recently, a man in Uttar Pradesh decided to channel his inner ‘naagin’ on the streets for everyone’s entertainment. The man grabbed the attention of the onlookers, who ended up laughing. Even a policeman was seen smiling at the man’s attempt to crawl around like a snake.
The video begins with a young man pretending to be a snake charmer, while another one can be seen lying on the street with a snake-like fabric tied on his legs to make it look like a serpent’s body. Further, he moved and swayed just like they show in the film, all the while, lying on the streets. In the background, Anmol Malik’s Nagin Dance song played. The young man tried to strike like the snake charmer, just like a snake is shown to do in the films. This resulted in a crowd enjoying the act with huge smiles on their faces.
While the duo continued with their performances, a fruit seller could be seen giggling, while a few bystanders took out their cellphones and recorded the moment. People from the shops came out to see the young boy rolling around in a snake-like manner, while another acted like a snake charmer. The video shows a police officer at the scene who was trying to probably disperse the crowd, ending up smiling at the act.
