The internet never fails to amaze us with its quirky and offbeat content. One special category that has got our attention is food experiments. Thanks to food vloggers we often get a virtual tour of many hidden stalls and restaurants that serve oddly fascinating dishes. People who prepare such food items often combine two or more wholly different ingredients and come up with bizarre combos. Some examples include samosa Maggi, tomato ice cream, chocolate omelet, and even biriyani momos. Although such eccentric dishes often make us frown and think twice about trying them, there is no denying that these videos are quite entertaining to watch.
Since we are already a month into 2024, let us rewind and take a look at some bizarre foods that whipped up a storm on the internet recently.
Oreo Pakoras
You might love the crunchiness of pakodas. But this one will give you second thoughts. In a now-viral video, an Ahmedabad-based vendor was seen preparing pakoras with Oreo biscuits as fillings. The name of the dish? Oreo bhajiyas. The weird preparation is made by dipping Oreo biscuits in gram flour batter and frying them until they turn golden brown.

Vodka Aloo Parantha
Parathas in the winter season are a match made in food heaven. But this paratha might get you a little tipsy. Yes, a food flogger offered a glimpse of how she prepares Vodka Aloo Parathas. In the unorthodox recipe, the woman grinds the flour dough by pouring alcohol replacing water and oil. After adding the spice-infused aloo mixture to the dough, she rolls it out and makes the paratha.

Locho With Pav
Locho is a famous Gujarati cuisine made from gram flour that takes a dumpling shape after it’s prepared. But food vendors had to tamper with it too. In another bizarre food video, the cook was seen drizzling some Mayonnaise on one Pav and spreading green chutney on the other. Next, instead of adding Vada, he scooped a spoonful of Locho inside the two Pavs and topped it off with sev, cheese, and sauce.
