Grab Tissues, This Auto Driver's Tribute To His Lost Love Will Bring Tears To Your Eyes

When love finds wings, it is often brought down by life’s cruelty, thus leading to heartbreak and separation. Many such stories and memories of lost love can be found around us in every corner of the city. A Delhi woman recently came across one such story and was quite moved. Instagram user Anupama shared a video to depict the unfinished love story of an auto driver from the “Dilwalon Ka Shahar”.

Finding the unique decorations in his auto intriguing, the woman complimented him. The driver explained he had done it in memory of his lost love. In the short video, the auto can be seen decorated in red lights with the initials A and S on the backside. As Anupama inquired about the decor, the autorickshaw driver, with a bittersweet smile, said, “Yeh A S likhwa kar dil ko khushi milti hai (I feel happy at heart with these initials of A and S).”

Further, a text in the clip reveals the entire story. “Thinking of this one time I complimented an auto bhaiyya for the cool lighting in his auto, and he told me he did it in memory of his ex-lover. She got married to someone else just two days after he moved to Delhi for work,” it reads.

Anupama shared this video on June 6 and captioned it “Men In Love.” Social media users also reacted to it with diverse responses. A user wrote, “Oscar meant it when he wrote “behind every exquisite thing that existed, there was something tragic,” while another commented, “I’ve been in this auto while I was in hauz khas took some photos from the upper mirror.”

“Men in love are pure love. They must be appreciated and PROTECTED,” another user chimed.

“I think we’ve all had THE most touching and heartwarming conversations on the most random days with autowale bhaiyas, it’s just so pure. Another reason for my UNDYING love for auto,” another comment read.

Meanwhile, in a similar example, a Bengaluru woman earlier shared a video of a driver who decorated his vehicle to commemorate his daughter’s birthday. The video shows a single pink balloon he added to celebrate the special day.
