However, the couple quickly became the focus of controversy when photos from their wedding went viral, but not for good reasons. Adnan faced a lot of trolling online for stopping paparazzi and guests from taking pictures of Ayesha to respect her privacy. Some photos from the ceremony showed the bride wearing a face mask.
And now, the reality show star has addressed it in a chat with HT. He said, “Main parde mai rakhna chahata tha ussey. I didn’t want to use my wife as content on social media like others do. The situation intensified when Adnan’s sister, Iffat, filed an FIR against him, accusing him of assaulting her and their father-in-law. Iffat claimed that Ayesha, who is reportedly a Hindu, converted to Islam to marry Shaikh, saying that her original name was Riddhi Jadhav. Adnan alleged that Iffat’s actions were motivated by revenge because he did not arrange a flat for her father-in-law.
Shaikh said, “Uske sasur ki demand thi ki unhe flat mile, maine vo nahi diya. Moreover, they wanted me to get married to my sister’s husband’s sister. However, I was in love with Ayesha and wanted to only get married to her.
