Anupamaa has been captivating audiences with its emotional and engaging storyline, but recent reports suggesting a potential leap in the series have raised concerns among fans. This could lead to a significant change in the cast with Aurra Bhatnagar, who plays the role of Aadhya, might exit the show. However, in a recent interview, Aurra addressed these rumours and shared that she and her family have not been informed about any such leap.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Aurra shared, “Well, for us too, it is just a rumour.” She further shared that the production has a clear word with her parents and if there were any plans regarding a leap, it would come from the production well in time.
Aurra continued, “As far as I know, until now there have been no such plans. But in the future, if they plan for Aadhya’s love angle, then I might leave the show. I am just thirteen and I would love to act my age. Having said that, so far, we haven’t been informed about any leap.”
Reports suggest that the show might take a leap, and actor Shivam Khajuria from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai could join as Aadhya’s love interest. However, there’s speculation about Aadhya’s love story, and actress Aurra’s mother mentioned that she wouldn’t be comfortable with her 13-year-old daughter portraying a romantic role on screen.
According to the entertainment news portal, a source close to the project mentioned that the makers are not planning to take a leap anytime soon. The source further dismissed the media reports as untrue and explained that since Rupali and Gaurav are the faces of the show, they cannot quit.
For the upcoming episode, makers of the show have released a new promo on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of the reunion between Anuj and Aadhya. The clip begins with Anuj praying in the temple on Janmashtami when Anupama calls out to him from behind and says, “I have brought you a gift for your birthday today,” and then she introduces him to Aadhya. Anuj gets emotional after seeing his daughter, and they hug each other. Meanwhile, Anupama leaves the two alone, and as she walks away, Aadhya calls out to her but Anupama faints.
