When one hears about government schools in the state of Bihar, the image that often comes to our mind is that of a dilapidated building, classrooms without windows, and children studying under the open sky. However, there is a government school in the town of Goraul, Vaishali district. R P C J High School is located in the Belwar Ghat area. The facilities and teaching methods are similar to those we see in private schools. The school has well-furnished labs, computer rooms and a beautiful garden to enhance its beauty. It is also equipped with CCTV cameras, which monitor everything from classrooms to the school premises.
According to reports, the school’s principal keeps an eye on the activities of both students and teachers through the CCTV cameras. In addition to the academics part, the school also provides facilities to play and exercise every day, helping them develop mentally as well as physically. A teacher of the school mentioned that there is a dress code for the teachers as well. Adding to it, the person also mentioned that there are ID cards for both students and teachers. “Every student is provided with two uniforms so that they can use it alternatively. There are separate cycle stands for boys and girls. Music classes are also held in the school for the students who are interested in it,” the teacher added.
The teachers shared that many students of the school have won several state-level competitions. The principal’s hard work has reportedly helped the school and its students to touch new heights. The principal said, “We are making efforts to further improve the facilities. We often hold meetings with the parents to take advice from them regarding the development of the school.” It can be said that the principal and the parents are working hand in hand to ensure a better future for the children. This school has emerged as an example for all the government schools which lack proper facilities.
