We've seen what Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset is capable of. Almost all the flagship phones retailing in the country are powered by it. IN fact there are 115 premium smartphones and tablets that have this processor world over.

Such has been the success of this SoC that Qualcomm has announced the successor to the Snapdragon 820 processor: the Snapdragon 821.

The company says that the 821 is engineered to deliver a 10% performance increase over the 820 with the Qualcomm Kryo quad-core CPU, reaching speeds up to 2.4GHz. The company also wrote on its website that 821 is designed to complement and extend the competitive strengths of our Snapdragon 800 lineup.

The Snapdragon 820 currently powers devices like Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, Xiaomi Mi5, LG G5, HTC 10, LeEco LeMax 2, and Sony Xperia X.
