New Delhi: Gionee announced its latest Elife S7 ultra slim smartphone, measuring 5.5mm, at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The Elife S7 smartphone has a high glossy finish and metal effect. It has a unique ergonomic design and is made out of durable aviation level aluminium magnesium alloy metal. The smartphone's front and back of the device is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The phone supports dual SIM, multi-band and multi-mode such as 4G FDD/TDD LTE and 3G WCDMA/TDSCDMA.
It runs on Amigo 3.0 which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. At its heart is the 1.7GHz octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM. It offers 16GB of internal memory.
The Elife S7's rear camera is 13-megapixel and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera that includes Face Beauty Technology for adding effects to selfies.
The phone is equipped with a 595 density 2,700mAh non-removable battery, which is said to be the highest among ultra slim phones in the market. The Elife S7 features a unique extreme mode, which automatically enables 10 per cent of remaining battery power to potentially last for 33 hours 45 minutes standby time.
With the MTK 6752 OCTA core 64 bit 1.7 GHz processor, the HPM technology enables the processors to run at a high speed and remain at an ultra-low power consumption level.
The S7 includes a high quality headphone that offers superior sound quality with standard sound system that features sound restorations.
The Gionee Elife S7 will be available in India by April 2015. The company is yet to announce the price of the device for the Indian market.
