Shivrayancha Chhava Poster Out: Marathi Actor Digpal Lanjekar Is Here To Rule Our Hearts

Actor-director Digpal Lanjekar known for his films centred on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his army, such as Farzand, Fatteshikast, Pawankhind, Sher Shivraj, and Subhedar, has officially revealed the sixth installment titled Shivrayancha Chhava.

Recently, another poster for the upcoming movie, Shivrayancha Chhava, has been released, drawing the attention of fans. The poster features Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj standing in the background, with a formidable tiger depicted in the foreground. Digpal shared the poster with the caption, “Put your hand in the tiger’s jaw and count the teeth… Shivarayancha Chaava, in theatres only from 16 February 2024!”.

AA Films and Everest Entertainment are presenting Shivarayancha Chhawa, slated to hit screens on February 16, 2024. While the movie includes familiar faces like Mrinal Kulkarni portraying Jijau and Chinmoy Mandlekar, the actor for the role of Sambhaji Maharaj has not been revealed yet.

There’s online speculation about actor Vishal Nikam possibly taking on the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaja. This talk started as Vishal Nikam was seen adopting a similar appearance for a few days. Adding to the buzz, he posted a photo in Chhatrapati’s role with the caption Shwasat Raj ..Dhyasat Raj coinciding with the film poster release today. As a result, discussions are ongoing suggesting that Vishal Nikam might play a significant part in Chhava.

Commenting on the film, Malhar Picture Company stated, “Creating a historical film has always been a dream for us, and what better subject to choose than our beloved Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj? Selecting Digpal Lanjekar as the director was the best decision; there’s no one better suited for a subject like this. The research and hard work are incredible”.

Set against the backdrop of the Maratha Empire era, the film Shivarayancha Chhava is positioned as a historical drama with a focus on warriors. Slated for theatrical release on February 16, 2024, the movie has been extensively filmed across various locations in Maharashtra. Boasting an ensemble cast featuring Chinmay Mandlekar, Trupti Toradmal, Prasanna Ketkar, Abhijeet Shwetachandra, and Mrinal Kulkarni, the film promises to unveil the rich historical narrative.
