New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has assured justice for the victims of violence in Sitapur. He has vowed to take strict action against those found guilty even if they belonged to his own Samajwadi Party.
"I have ordered a probe into the matter. Justice will be delivered. The concerned officials will look into the matter," Akhilesh said.
Suspected SP workers had allegedly torched 14 homes on Monday. This was the latest in a series of acts of vandalism by suspected SP workers despite repeated warnings from their state party chief.
