Lucknow: Alleging that the provisions of reservation were not being followed in the recruitment process at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences Lucknow, BSP on Friday sought the immediate intervention by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in the matter.
An advertisement for recruitment on 44 academic posts in the institute was published on July 2, 2012, but reservation norms were not being followed in the selection process, leader of opposition in state assembly Swami Prasad Maurya said.
There is a plan to fill the vacancies through candidates of general category only, he said. The BSP leader demanded that the chief minister should immediately intervene in the matter and suspend the selection process.
He also called for a stern action against the director of the institute as well as the principal secretary medical health for violating the constitutional provisions.
