Mumbai: MNS chief Raj Thackeray has once again targeted north Indians, saying that migrant influx is responsible for the rising terror attacks in Mumbai.
Coming down heavily on migrants from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the MNS chief said that it was imperative to monitor people coming to the city from outside.
He also hit out at state Samajwadi Party chief Abu Asim Azmi for expressing sympathy with the 13/7 triple blast suspect Faiz Usmani and demanded an inquiry against him.
Meanwhile, a Bihar court has ordered an inquiry into Raj Thackeray's comments blaming north Indian migrants for the terror attacks.
"The issue is of criminal elements coming along with hordes of migrants... These elements come here from Nepal via Uttar Pradesh," Raj told reporters.
"It is true that in 60 to 70 per cent of the criminal cases here, police have to go to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in search of culprits," he added.
