New Delhi: Breaking her silence for the first time, Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav's second wife Sadhna Gupta said it is wrong to blame her for the family dispute which happened a month ago.
"Ram Gopal Yadav ji was very close to Mulayam. Don't know what has happened between them. The allegations against me for the rift in the family are wrong. I consoled Ram Gopal's eyes when his wife died. I have been there and have helped him in his son's marriage. But whatever the case was Netaji should not have been dishonoured," Sadhna said.
The SP patriarch's wife also said, "I don't know who misled Akhilesh, he respects Netaji and me a lot. Now I won't back down. I have had enough of the insult."
"I have done a lot of work and always gave political advice to neta ji. I want my son Prateek to join politics. I always helped all members of the family and Whatever happened in the family should not have happened," she added.
Sadhna said she always treated Akhilesh as her son.
"I have always treated Akhilesh as my son. I have made lots of sacrifices and God is watching all this. He will not do any injustice with me," Sadhna added.
