Modi's yatra to end today; Gadkari likely to attend rally

Ahmedabad: Thursday is the last day of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's Vivekananda Yatra. The month-long yatra will end in Pavagadh later this evening. BJP President Nitin Gadkari and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan are likely to be present at the rally later in the day.

During this month-long yatra, Modi addressed meetings in 182 assembly constituencies in the run-up to the Gujarat assembly elections. Modi targeted Congress at most of his rallies. Modi at one one of his rallies had alleged that Rs 1,880 crore had been spent from the public exchequer on Congress President Sonia Gandhi's foreign trips.

During another rally, Modi slammed the Congress saying the party had always been giving "false promises" to people and alleged that they had failed to create any educational facilities for tribal students for studying science despite 50 years of their rule.

Modi had taken out a month long political yatra naming it Swami Vivekananda Yuva Vikas Yatra. He has been addressing Vivekananda Youth Convention all over the state and has been quoting from his work on a daily basis on his twitter account, a strategy which has baffled his detractors.
