Bangalore: Not everybody thinks that the AAP dharna in Delhi wrong. Former CFO of Infosys T V Mohandas Pai has come in support of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Speaking to CNN-IBN he said "Need to understand the issues for which the protests are held. Police must come under state government. Kejriwal is committed to cleansing politics and in many states police seems to be there to protect VIPs and not the citizens, citizens getting a raw deal, parties and police are hand in glove".
He hoped that the Centre will call Kejriwal for discussions. He said "Street protest is to create crisis so that problems are solved. There is substance in what they are doing, may not ageee with methods. This is no anarchy; there is no violence in these protests. Kejriwal has been cornered. AAP is a result of people's anger against misgovernance".
Commenting on how this protest can ruin Republic Day Parade he said "what is the idea of a republic, if it doesn't deliver justice to the people? We should not look at symbolism of the parade. All these have become just symbols".
He clarified that he is not a supporter of the AAP. He said "I am not an AAP supporter, but as a citizen I am angry at the delivery of justice".
Reacting to the alleged attack conducted by Delhi law minister Somnath Bharti, Pai said "his dialogue is perverse but look at the issue. What he did is wrong, cant take law in his own hand".
Pai argued that the only way to make society work is through protests. He said that the issues Arvind Kejriwal had brought up are real. He demanded that the Home Minister and the PM must call these people for a discussion and the administration must take note of the anger of people.
