New Delhi: Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Wednesday said that the Cabinet had cleared a metro proposal for Nagpur.
A special purpose vehicle will be set up for the project. The state government had consulted the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) about the metro service in Nagpur.
It was almost a decade back that a technical survey was conducted by Larsen and Tourbo on behalf of Nagpur Improvement Trust (NITT) for a Metro Rail for about 70-90 km route.
