NTA UGC NET December/May 2020 Application Deadline Extended, Check Details
The last date to submit the application fee for already registered candidates is March 10. The correction window will be made available by NTA from March 12 to 16.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2020 cycle till March 9. Earlier the last to apply for UGC NET 2020 was March 2. NTA in its official notification said, “it is hereby informed that the last date for submission of the online application form, has been extended from 2 March 2021 to 9 March 2021, to enable the aspiring candidates who have not been able to apply in the Online Application Form”. Aspirants can visit www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in to register.

Steps to complete the UGC NET December 2020 cycle registration:

Step 1: Go to the search bar and type ugcnet.nta.nic.in

Step 2. The direct link for the registration window is available on the homepage. Click on it and opt for new registration

Step 3. Register yourself by filling in the required details and create a unique password. Note down the system generated application number and password safely

Step 4. Use the registered login credentials to fill further details in the UGC NET application form

Step 5. Upload scanned images of photograph and signature

Step 6. Select the payment mode and pay the examination fee

UGC NET December 2020 cycle: Application Fee

Candidates have to pay Rs 1000 as an application fee. For candidates belonging to OBC/EWS cantegory, the fee will be Rs 500 while for those from SC/ST/PwD category, the fee will be Rs 250

NTA will conduct the UGC NET exam for successful applicants on May 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17. Candidates who have completed their masters or postgraduate degree are eligible to apply. Applicants qualifying the exam will be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant professor recruitment based on the merit. NTA conducts UGC NET twice a year – in June and December – the December attempt has been delayed to be held in May due to Covid-19 outbreak across the country.
