Make My Trip's controversial Ad in Ahmedabad Times offers discounts to Pakistani fans in case their team loses. Read this to know more.

Today, India and Pakistan will be locking horns in the world’s biggest cricket stadium. Just ahead of the match, Make My Trip has released a controversial Ad, offering discounts in case Pakistan loses. The travel company posted an ad in the Ahmedabad Times. It claimed that the Pakistani fans could avail discounts of up to 50 per cent if their side lose to India.

The discounts are applicable on hotel bookings if their side lost by 10 wickets or 200 runs. A 30 per cent discount was granted if Pakistan were to lose by 6 wickets or 100 runs and a 10 per cent discount if they lost by 3 wickets or 50 runs.

The offers have been given hilarious codes like, ‘Boys Played Well’, ‘Ek Shaheen Haar’, and ‘No Mauka Mauka’.

Virendra Sehwag took to his official ‘X’ handle and posted about the same. “Na Ishq mein na Pyaar mein . Jo mazza hai Pakistan ki haar mein. Aise kaun invite karta hai yaar. Sahi khel gaye MMT !” he wrote in the caption.

Meanwhile, this will be the third time that the two teams will be squaring off in 2023 after the Asia Cup. Both the teams though have started their World Cup campaigns with back-to-back wins and obviously both hope that the run continues in Ahmedabad. As fans eagerly wait for the much awaited clash, many took to social media and shared memes. From morphing images to Bollywood references, it seems like the fans have done it all.
