Having defeated Australia women in the one-off Test, India women will now be aiming to carry forward the momentum in the ODI series.

The ODI series opener is scheduled to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, December 28.

In their last ODI meeting, Australia women got the better of India women by six wickets back in March last year.

India scripted history in their last match by claiming their first-ever women’s Test victory over Australia. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side registered a historic eight-wicket win on the final day of the contest, also played in Mumbai.

India’s Sneh Rana was adjudged Player of the Match having picked up seven wickets in that game.

Australia women, on the other hand, will head into the series having won their last ODI against West Indies women by eight wickets. Following the conclusion of the ODIs, the India women and Australia women will be involved in a three-match T20I series scheduled to start on January 5. Australia women will play the final T20I against India on January 9.
