AAJ KA PANCHANG, OCTOBER 8, 2024: The Panchami Tithi and Shashthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha will take place on October 8, according to the Drik Panchang. Shukla Panchami and Shukla Shashthi are considered favourable for auspicious activities and fall in the Shubh Muhurta timings. Devotees across the country will mark the sixth day of Navratri on October 8.

The sixth day of Navratri is dedicated to the warrior Mata Katyayani, considered one of the most powerful incarnations of Goddess Durga. In her Mahishasurmardini form, she rides a lion ornamented with four hands and is worshipped as the destroyer of evil. Apart from this, devotees will also observe two festivals – Bilva Nimantran and Skanda Sashti.

Before beginning any rituals on this auspicious day, it is recommended for devotees to check the Tithi as well as the favourable and unfavourable timings of the day. This practice can ensure optimum results and help in mitigating potential hurdles throughout the day.

SUNRISE, SUNSET, MOONRISE, AND MOONSET ON OCTOBER 8

Sunrise is predicted to occur around 6:18 AM, while sunset is anticipated at approximately 5:59 PM. The moon is likely to rise at around 11:12 AM and is projected to set around 9:20 PM.

TITHI, NAKSHATRA, AND RASHI DETAILS FOR OCTOBER 8

The Panchami Tithi is likely to persist until 11:17 AM, after which it will transition to Shashthi Tithi. The auspicious Jyeshtha Nakshatra is anticipated to last until 4:08 AM (October 9), after which it will shift to another favourable Nakshatra – Mula. The Moon is projected to be in Vrishchika Rashi until 4:08 AM, October 9, and then shift to Dhanu Rashi while the Sun will be positioned in Kanya Rashi.

ASHUBH MUHURAT FOR OCTOBER 8

Rahu Kalam Muhurat is projected from 3:03 PM to 4:31 PM. The Yamaganda Muhurat will take place from 9:13 AM to 10:41 AM and the Gulikai Kalam Muhurat will be observed between 12:08 PM to 1:36 PM. The Dur Muhurtam will take place twice – 8:38 AM to 9:25 AM and then again from 10:55 PM to 11:44 PM. In addition, the Baana Muhurat will occur in Raja from 5:53 AM, October 9 to the full night.
