Aamir Khan sported a moustache that bore a striking resemblance to his character from the 2005 release Mangal Pandey: The Rising.

Aamir Khan, who was last seen in the film Laal Singh Chaddha has taken a hiatus from his work commitments. Speaking about his break from films at a book launch event, the actor revealed that it was because he wanted to spend more time with his family. However, Aamir Khan’s inactivity from the film circuit does not mean he is away from the limelight. He is often spotted at public events and get-togethers. Recently, the Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood was papped attending Avinash Gowarikar’s birthday bash in Mumbai. But, it was Aamir Khan’s brand-new look that caught the attention of his fans.

A video of Aamir Khan’s new avatar was dropped on Instagram. It captured the actor stepping out of his vehicle in casual basics. He was decked up in a pastel green and white striped shirt and teamed the outfit with a pair of comfy blue trousers. Uber-cool black sunglasses and leather juttis rounded off his look. Sporting a slightly long and wavy, middle-parted hairdo, Aamir Khan flaunted his fresh hairstyle. He also sported a moustache, which had an uncanny resemblance to his character Mangal Pandey from the film Mangal Pandey: The Rising.

Aamir Khan was seen greeting the paparazzi with a beaming smile. He posed patiently for his pictures to be taken. His fans were waiting eagerly to catch a glimpse of the actor at the premises. And Aamir Khan did not disappoint them. Ahead of entering a building, presumably a restaurant, he waved at some of his fans from a distance and even shook hands with them. Aamir Khan’s kind gesture won the hearts of the internet in no time.

Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, which was released in the theatres back on August 11, 2022, failed to impress the audience. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film also starred Kareena Kapoor as the female lead. The romance drama was a Hindi adaptation of Hollywood actor Tom Hanks’ critically acclaimed movie Forrest Gump.

Although Aamir Khan is no longer making an appearance in films for a while now, he is actively involved behind the camera. The actor has donned the producer’s hat for his upcoming venture, titled Lahore, 1947. Directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, Sunny Deol has been roped in to play a titular character in the film. Lahore, 1947 will be released under the banners of Aamir Khan Productions. The film also marks Aamir Khan’s second collaboration with the filmmaker Raj Kumar Santoshi after Andaz Apna Apna.
