Aditi Rao Hydari on Dealing With Negativity About Personal Life: 'Judgement Is Never...' | Exclusive

Aditi Rao Hydari is not afraid of speaking her mind. At the recently held Loreal Paris event, which aimed at combatting street harassment, Aditi opened up about the constant media attention on her personal life and how she has learnt to navigate it.

The actress, who’s also a proud L’Oréal spokesperson, delivered a powerful performance at Mumbai’s iconic Gateway Of India. Speaking about the same, the actress shared, “I really think it’s wonderful what the brand stands for and they really really make sure that this messaging is very clear in everything that they do. Whether it’s walk your worth, or stand up or the iconic we are worth it.”

She added, “I feel so much pride in taking that messaging forward, and it’s a legacy that I am really proud to be associated with. Just the whole sort of anthem like feel, you know the music and the words that we were speaking, it felt quite amazing.”

On the work front, Aditi will soon be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited Heeramandi. Talking about the same, the actress said, “I love Sanjay Sir and I know he will put out, whenever the time is right. And I am also looking forward to it. And to be a part of Sanjay Sir’s vision is a blessing. I adore him. We all know that he creates magic.”

Aditi also received immense love for her performance in Jubilee. When asked if there was another season in the making, she said, “It was so amazing playing Sumitra Kumari and playing like a heroine from that time. Vikram Sir and Atul Sabharwal will be the best people to answer this question. But I’m sure they are working on it.”

Apart from her professional outings and endeavours, Aditi’s personal life often grabs headlines, especially her rumoured relationship with actor Siddharth. However, the actress says she is unfazed by it. “Judgement is never a happy thing but I would say this, that maybe I am one of those people that even if you show me a lot of darkness, I’ll go and find the light. I feel that’s a better way to be. There’s a lot of negativity around us, but there is so much positivity,” she said.

She continued, “There is so much love, there’s so much encouragement. I’d rather look at that. And also, the other thing I feel is everybody does, what is important to them. Everybody has their own priorities. Even if somebody thinks it’s important to troll someone, or to judge someone or be mean to somebody, that is there prerogative. Mine is to be happy, to make sure that everybody around me is happy, kind and sensitive. And I know sensitivity is sometimes looked at as a vulnerability and you know, I think that’s my biggest strength. I am happy being a 5 year old.”
