Yash Confirms 'Toxic' Release Is Delayed: 'There Are So Many Complications...'
Yash confirms the release of Toxic is delayed due to scheduling conflicts, with no new release date set. VFX will be handled by DNEG.

Superstar Yash, fresh off the success of KGF: Chapter 2, has officially confirmed that his highly anticipated film Toxic will not meet its originally planned release date of April 10, 2025. Directed by national award-winner Geetu Mohandas, the gangster action drama has now been delayed due to scheduling conflicts among the cast, which includes stars like Nayanthara, Kiara Advani and Huma Qureshi.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, Yash explained that the announcement of the original release date was premature. “We had to start a little early, but something went wrong. We had some date issues, so it took more time than expected. I won’t be able to come out with the film on that date,” Yash said.

The actor refrained from specifying a new release date, stating that he doesn’t want to make any promises until everything is certain. “Credibility is important. It has never happened before that we announced a date and couldn’t meet it. This is the first time. We didn’t even start [filming].”

Yash pointed out that coordinating the schedules of actors from different film industries has been a major challenge for the production. “Bringing everyone together is a little difficult in this film,” he added, noting that the film has unique hurdles due to its large and busy ensemble cast.

Despite the delay, Yash shared exciting news about the visual effects work for Toxic. The VFX is being handled by DNEG, the Oscar and National Award-winning company responsible for groundbreaking effects in films like Tenet and Interstellar.

In addition to Toxic, Yash is also working on the ambitious Ramayana project, where he will take on the role of Ravan/Lankesh. The actor revealed that his involvement came about after a discussion in Los Angeles with Namit Malhotra, who has been working on Ramayana for several years. Yash described the project as a dream passion for both him and Malhotra.
