Excitement is building for the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans are eagerly discussing plot theories and potential cameos. It’s confirmed that the film will feature Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova and Tyler Mane as Sabretooth.
Adding to the hype, new footage expected in the coming weeks may tease additional surprising cameos. An industry insider previously hinted that Hulk, possibly portrayed by Mark Ruffalo, could appear, engaging in battles against mutants. However, a recent tweet from an industry insider revealed that while the green monster will appear, it remains uncertain if it will feature Ruffalo’s variant.
Interestingly, this could mean, Bruce Banner and Logan will come face to face for a battle many fans have been waiting to see for years. Sharing the post on X, Holyfield News wrote, “Hulk vs Wolverine is happening. Not 100% sure if it will be mark Ruffalo’s hulk tho." In an earlier tweet, the portal had predicted that “Mark Ruffalo will return as the hulk in Marvel Studio’s Deadpool & Wolverine. He will fight against the mutants. 1st official trailer will release later this month."

Interestingly, the involvement of Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk in Deadpool & Wolverine might have been hinted at by director Shawn Levy long before the film went on floors. When Ryan Reynolds and Mark starred together in Levy’s The Adam Project, the filmmaker posted a promotional Instagram post featuring the two Marvel stars. The post also had stickers of their MCU characters and a cryptic caption, “The showdown we’ve been waiting for." The old post now seems like a clever hint at the exciting clash between Hulk and the mutants in the upcoming movie.

Earlier, Eric Bana, who played Hulk in a 2003 movie, was also rumoured to reprise his character. However, while appearing on The Jess Cagle Show on SiriusXM, the actor himself dismissed the speculations stating, “I can’t say that happening I’m sorry. Hugh (Jackman) is a very close friend. can’t see that happen."
Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled to release on July 26, featuring massive star cast including Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Tyler Mane, Emma Corrin, along with Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapicic, Brianna Hildebrand, Rob Delaney, Lewis Tan, Aaron Stanford, Kelly Hu, Jason Flemyng and Ray Park.
