Vijay Varma Celebrates One Year Of Dahaad: 'Brought Us So Much Love And Admiration'

The crime drama web series Dahaad, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Vijay Varma, has completed a year of its release. Directed by the talented duo of Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, the series follows the pursuit of a serial killer by a cop in the rural landscapes of Rajasthan. The production house Tiger Baby posted a series of photos from the show on its official Instagram page. Accompanying the photo series was a caption that stated, “Celebrating 1 Year Of Dahaad.” Sonakshi Sinha, currently enjoying the acclaim for Heeramandi, shared the Tiger Baby post on her Instagram story, adding her own words: “May is a damn good month for me. must say. Congrats team Dahaad!” This series marked Sonakshi’s debut on the digital platforms.

Created by the talented duo of Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, Dahaad delves into the gripping narrative of Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati’s investigation into a string of deaths occurring in public bathrooms. Initially perceived as suicides, the deaths take a chilling turn as Anjali Bhaati uncovers evidence pointing to a sinister serial killer who is on the loose. The series premiered on Prime Video on May 12, 2023.

In the series, Sonakshi portrayed the lead role of Anjali Bhaati, while Vijay Varma masterfully portrayed Anand Swarnakar, the serial killer. Additionally, notable actors such as Sohum Shah, Gulshan Devaiah, Zoa Morani, Jayati Bhatia, and others featured in significant roles.

On the professional front, Vijay Varma has an exciting array of projects in his pipeline.
