The film buffs have been looking forward to Moorane Krishnappa because of its take on the local Kannada slang from the Anekal region and the humorous theme amid a village backdrop. Kannada films like Case of Kondana, Shakhahaari, Blink, Chow Chow Bath, Kerebete, 02, Kangaroo and Grey Games, released so far in 2024 have one thing in common. Almost all of them are based on different content or are described as ‘experimental films’ that make a difference. Although most of them have not been able to bring huge returns at the Kannada box office as compared to the big star films, these films have managed to make a mark of their own among the audience.
