Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Anjali Mehta aka Sunayana Fozdar has been in headlines ever since she joined the cast. The actress who replaced Neha Mehta in the show recently opened up about the return of Disha Vakani aka Dayaben. Disha took a maternity break in September 2017 and since then her return to show has been a mystery for her fans as well as the cast. While producer Asit Kumar Modi has not said anything on the issue, Sunayana recently spilt some beans.
In a recent interview with Koimoi, she said, “I wish I knew this answer, I really wish. Because I have never met her and honestly, I would love to meet her. Humko abhi tak aisi koi baat boli nai gayi hai (we haven’t been told anything), we don’t know anything at all. I mean it, we really don’t know. The best person is Asit sir to answer this question. Kyuki hum khud bhi janna chahte hai, hum bhi ek dusre ko kaafi baar puchte hai. Kisiko kuch nahi pata hai (Because we also want to know and keep asking each other this question. No one knows anything).”
She went ahead to say that the show is about everyone and that is its best part, it’s not just about one character. She also said that one person can’t take the credit for the success of any character and called it the entire teams’ effort.
Earlier, a report published by the portal suggested that the Disha Vakani might be replaced by Rakhi Vijan as she expressed her interest to play the role. Calling Dayaben’s character iconic, she told the portal that given a chance she would love to take up the role and challenge herself as an actor.
However, Asit and Disha are yet to make any official statement regarding the same.
Meanwhile, Sunayana has been doing great on the show and is receiving immense love from the audience. Earlier fans were a bit sceptical about accepting Sunayana but later they accepted her wholeheartedly.
