Telangana Government Approves Special Shows And Hiked Ticket Prices For Indian 2 Premiere
The film Indian 2 is a sequel to the 2001 film Indian. The film is made with a budget of a whopping Rs 250 crores.

In recent days, we have come across various news of increases in ticket prices of films in Telangana. The Telangana government on Wednesday granted permission to allow special shows for seven days and special ticket rates for the upcoming film Indian 2 between July 12 and July 19 across all theatres around the state. This is set to be a big news for the makers. We have previously seen such an update for the film Kalki 2989 AD. The ticket prices of Kalki 2989 AD were also increased by the government along with the special shows.

As per media reports, the government has reportedly allowed a fifth show for around 7 days. “Hereby permit to allow 5th show for 7 days i.e. between July 12 and July 19 in all the released theatres in Telangana and hike of rates by Rs 75 plus GST for multiplexes and Rs 50 plus GST in Single Screens on the existing (prevailing) rates to the higher classes only for all theatres across the State of Telangana with a condition to screen advertisements on adverse effects of using narcotics and drugs and cybercrime,” the order read, as per media reports.

The order from the state government further mentioned “The permission is reportedly granted temporarily depending on the payment of taxes to the government as per usual terms and conditions for the Indian 2 film screening only. All the collectors, District Magistrates, the Commissioners of Telangana Police other related authorities are requested to take the necessary action in the matter.”

The film Indian 2 is a sequel to the 2001 film Indian. The film is made with a budget of a whopping Rs 250 crores. It is directed by S. Shankar while it is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and A. Subaskaran. The film features prominent actors like Kamal Haasan, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, S.J. Suryah, Mark Bennington, V. Jayaprakash, Bobby Simha, Yograj Singh, and Nedumudi Venu. The cinematography will be done by Ravi Varman. It is set to hit the theatres tomorrow, July 12.
