Sonakshi Sinha has been grabbing headlines after her marriage to Zaheer Iqbal. Their wedding was an intimate ceremony, attended by only family members and close friends. However, when the wedding video was released, Sonakshi was seen screaming. Recently, she explained why she screamed.
In a recent interview with Galatta India, Sonakshi Sinha said, “We were both waiting for this moment for so long that I couldn’t control myself. I was like, ‘ho gya boss’.” The actress shared that she can’t describe her feelings but was “genuinely happy and excited” during the ceremony. So much so that the newly married bride wanted to scream from the top of her roof while announcing to the world that she was finally married.
In a recent interview with ETimes, the Heeramandi actress expressed that marrying Zaheer felt like coming home, as she now gets to spend more quality time with him. Sonakshi also mentioned that they have always been best friends and wished they had married sooner.
Sonakshi said, “I’m extremely happy because I think this I did something that I was waiting for a very long time and now I feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. It does feel like being home finally. I enjoy spending time with Zaheer and we’re truly best friends, so I love being at work and then being with my own person, running back home and going to him. I wish it happened sooner but better late than never. It feels relieving, I feel so light.”
Sharing the wedding pictures online, the newlyweds wrote, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife.
