Superstar Rajinikanth’s family received a call from Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he was hospitalised. The Tamil star was hospitalised on Monday after complaining of a stomach pain and had to undergo a surgery. The hospital he is being treated at issued a statement assuring fans that his surgery was successful and he is on the road to recovery. Hours after the update, it was revealed that PM Modi called Rajinikanth’s wife Latha to discuss his health condition.
State President – TN BJP, K.Annamalai took to X and revealed details of the call. “Our Hon. PM Thiru @narendramodi avl spoke telephonically to Smt. Latha Rajinikanth avl today to inquire about the health of our Super Star Thiru @rajinikanth avl. Hon PM was informed about the well-being of Thiru Rajinikanth avl post-surgery & Hon PM wished him a speedy recovery (sic),” he said.

Rajinikanth underwent an elective procedure at a private hospital, during which a stent was placed near his lower abdominal area. The procedure was carried out by a team of three specialty doctors in a cath lab. Currently, he is stable and is being kept under observation. He will be recuperating at the hospital for the next 2-3 days before being discharged.
Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister MK Stalin and fans also expressed their best wishes, reflecting the deep affection Rajinikanth commands.
Latha Rajinikanth offered reassurance with a message to CNN-News18 on Monday. The actor was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai on Monday night, where he underwent the surgery. When CNN-News18 reached out for an update on his health, Latha stated that everything is well. “All is well,” she said.
