American drama series Pachinko which was released in March 2022 has gained much love and praise for its emotional plot, sympathetic storytelling and applause-worthy acting performances. The show, which concluded its first season on April 29, 2022, narrates the story of the hopes and dreams of a Korean immigrant family across four generations as they leave their homeland in an indomitable quest to survive and thrive. Now, after an interval of a little over two years, its much-awaited second season is about to premiere. “Across borders and generations, the epic story of hope, anguish, courage and forbidden love returns. Pachinko Season 2 streaming August 23," according to Apple TV+’s official YouTube channel.
Based on The New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, Pachinko is a sweeping and deeply moving story of love and survival across four generations. The first season received 11 international awards including a Peabody Award, an American Film Institute Award, a Critics Choice Award and a Gotham Independent Film Award. Season 2 stars Anna Sawai, Eunchae Jung, Jin Ha, Junwoo Han, Lee Minho, Minha Kim, Soji Arai, Sungkyu Kim and Yuh-Jung Youn, informs Apple TV.
It further informs that the drama is created and written by Soo Hugh who also serves as an executive producer alongside Media Res’ Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer and Theresa Kang for Blue Marble Pictures.

This time, season two of the drama is being directed by Leanne Welham, Arvin Chen and Sang-il Lee. For the upcoming season, actor Kim Sung Kyu will be joining actors Youn Yuh Jung, Lee Min Ho and Kim Min Ha in the show’s star-studded cast. Apart from these, it will also see Anna Sawai, Jin Ha, Eunchae Jung, Soji Arai and Junwoo Han in key roles.

According to IMDB, season 2 of Pachinko will have a total of eight episodes, which will be released weekly starting from August 23. The season will conclude on October 11.
