Kristen Stewart Returns as Vampire But Not For Another Twilight Film With Robert Pattinson
Kristen Stewart and Oscar Isaac will unite for Panos Cosmatos' vampire-thriller film titled Flesh of the Gods.

It has been over 15 years since Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan fell in love with Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson) in the Twilight Saga films, instantly turning them into overnight stars. After more than a decade of playing a vampire on-screen, Kristen Stewart is now all set to feature in another vampire thriller opposite Oscar Isaac. Titled Flesh of the Gods, the film will be directed by Panos Cosmatos, best known for his films like Mandy and Beyond the Black Rainbow.

Adam McKay has come on board as the producer along with Betsy Koch through their Hyperobject Industries production company, while Isaac will also produce Flesh with his partner Gena Konstantinakos via Mad Gene Media. The film’s script has been penned by Se7en screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker.

More About Kristen Stewart’s Vampire Thriller Film

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Flesh of the Gods will be set in Los Angeles during the glittering 1980s. The story follows a married couple Raoul and Alex (played by Isaac and Stewart) who come down from the luxurious condo in Los Angeles every night, only to come across a mysterious figure known as the ‘Nameless’ one evening.

“When they cross paths with the mysterious and enigmatic woman and her hard-partying cabal, Raoul and Alex are seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills and violence,” it added.

Director Cosmatos also issued a statement, explaining that the film inhabits the “liminal realm” between fantasy and nightmare. “Both propulsive and hypnotic, Flesh will take you on a hot rod joy ride deep into the glittering heart of hell,” he added.

Divulging more details about the film, McKay took note of Cosmatos’ directorial skills and said, “This director, this writer, these incredible actors, vampires, choice ’80s punk, style and attitude for miles… that’s the film we’re bringing you today. We think it’s wildly commercial and wildly artful. Our ambition is to make a movie that ripples through popular culture, fashion, music, and film. Can you tell how excited I am?”

While the film has been formally announced with the lead actors on board, producers expect to begin shooting later this year. Notably, Flesh marks the third collaboration between Cosmatos and XYZ, having already worked on Mandy and Nekrokosm.
