Actor Dhanush has added one more feather to his cap as his film Captain Miller recently gained international recognition. The film was released in the theatres during the last Pongal festival and had a good box office run. Captain Miller was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the UK National Film Awards and has won in this category. This marks a prestigious moment for the actor and Tamil industry alike.
Dhanush’s Captain Miller was competing with other global projects like You Are Not Alone: Fighting the Wolf Pack (Spain), Bhakshak (India), The Parades (Japan), Red Ollero: Mabuhay is a Lie (Philippines), Sixty Minutes (Germany), and The Heartbreak Agency (Germany) that was nominated in the category of Best Foreign Language Film at the UK National Film Awards. However, it was Arun Matheswaran’s Tamil epic action-adventure film that brought glory to the country.
The makers of the film, Sathya Jyothi Films, took to X, (formerly known as Twitter) to announce their excitement at their victory. The tweet read, “Best Foreign Language Film- #CaptainMiller at the National Film Awards, London. Thanking the whole team for the efforts and hard work through the process of making Captain Miller.”

Looks like Dhanush is gradually making his presence known in Hollywood with his works. Previously, the actor was seen in the Russo Brothers’ film The Gray Man which earned him worldwide recognition and praise. This victory will increase his fanbase.
