Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again have been grabbing headlines following their clash over release. Both films are releasing on Diwali this year. Recently in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Anees Bazmee reacted and mentioned that he hopes the audience watches both films.
Pinkvilla quoted him saying, “As a lover of cinema, I hope people watch both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again on the big screen. It’s a festive season and there is enough appetite to consume both films. Ajay (Devgn), Rohit (Shetty), Akshay (Kumar), and everyone from Singham Again are very good friends, more like brothers, as I have worked with them at some point in my career. Clashes have happened in the past and will continue to happen in the future.”
Amid this, in an Instagram statement, Bazmee expressed that he is “thrilled” about the box office clash and is eager to see both films perform exceptionally well. He also mentioned that, as a director, he doesn’t allow business discussions to interfere with his creative process.
The filmmaker wrote, “Some media personnel are misinterpreting my statement. As a filmmaker with over three decades of experience, I focus on crafting compelling stories, not getting entangled in film release/ business dynamics. I’ve seen many films succeed despite releasing on the same day. Seems like my words were lost in translation! Let me rephrase: I am thrilled for both Singham 3 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Two amazing films, two talented teams. Let’s do it together (sic).”
The filmmaker, teaming up with Kartik again for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, said the new film will be different from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). Anees promised that it will be “much better, bigger, more entertaining and engaging,” compared to the earlier movie, as quoted by HT. Talking to News 24, he said, “We have tried to take the game a notch higher with this film, whether it’s in terms of the story or the use of visual effects. It’s been made on a much larger scale.”
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead. The film marks Vidya Balan’s return to the franchise and also stars Madhuri Dixit. This time around, Kartik is paired opposite Triptii Dimri.
As for Singham Again, the film is directed by Rohit Shetty. Although Ajay Devgn is headlining the film, Singham Again also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh.
