Aamir Khan Quits Social Media, Says 'Have Decided to Drop the Pretence'
Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan took to Twitter to announce that he is going to quit social media as he is quite inactive anyway. He also thanked people for their birthday wishes.

Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan shocked his fans on Monday after announcing that he will quit social media. The actor took to Twitter to thank fans for their wishes and blessings on his birthday. The actor had turned 56 on March 14.

“Hey guys, thank you so much for all the love and warmth on my birthday. My heart is full. In other news, this is going to be my last post on social media. Considering that I am SO active anyway I have decided to drop the pretence. We will continue to communicate as we did before. In addition, AKP has created its official channel! So future updates on me and my films can be found there. Here’s the official handle! @akppl_official. Lots of love, always, a,” his statement read.

It was previously reported that Aamir has totally disconnected from the online world. The actor had decided to switch off his cell phone till the release of Laal Singh Chaddha.

On the work front, Aamir will be next seen in Advait Chandan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. The film is the Hindi remake of the 1994 film Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. Kareena Kapoor also stars along with Aamir, and Mona Singh plays a pivotal role. Ammir will be essaying a Sikh man in the film.

On the other hand, Aamir will be making a cameo in his friend Amin Hajee’s directorial debut Koi Jaane Na. The actor will be seen in a groovy song with Elli Avram.
