Apart from the classic gowns and shimmery ensembles, the 2024 Emmy Awards also witnessed celebrities don an array of styles that left many wondering why they opted for the look.
From Marni’s floral sticker dress, and Loewe’s knitting needle to Hannah Waddingham’s Marchesa shimmery gown to the most loved neon green palette, the grey carpet saw it all. Best Dressed: Jessica Chastain, Rachel Brosnahan, Hannah Waddingham When a silhouette fits you like a glove, you thank your designer. Tailored to perfection, the couture ensembles adorned by Jessica Chastain, Rachel Brosnahan and Hannah Waddingham were a delight to watch on the grey carpet. Jessica who adorned a neon green Gucci gown with sequin and shimmery thread detailing took bohemian meets couture to the next level, Rachel in Versace’s burgundy corset gown with thigh-high slit and Hannah Waddingham’s mint green shimmery Marchesa figure hugging halter neck gown with ruffle detailing on the bottom, all these silhouettes were classics but perfectly matched the grace and glamour the respective celebrities.
All About The Quirks: Aubrey Plaza, Quinta Brunson, Simona Tabasco
What’s a red carpet without a little bit of quirk right? Apart from the Green Goblin-inspired look on the grey carpet, the event also has a couple of quirky styles. For instance, Simona Tavasco graced the occasion in Marni’s Renaissance dress with oversized sticker bomb floral motifs. The stickers and paper components were crafted on the dress making it a colourful scrapbook. Speaking of added elements on outfits, the Loewe ensemble adorned by Aubrey Plaza featured a butter yellow bodice with a rigid squarish pattern and featured a knitting needle pierced through the upper half. Quinta Brunson who adorned a Dior dress attended the 2024 Emmys Awards in a magenta silhouette with wrinkles. The outfit gave an illusion of not being ironed and kind of looked shabby when she stepped on stage to receive her award.
Apart from these, there were iconic looks by Katherine Heigl, Selena Gomez, and Taraji P Henson who made a statement in their classic silhouettes. Also, acing the style game with their ensembles were Jenna Ortega, Sherly Lee Ralph, Ariana DeBose, Joy Sunday, and Niecy Nash Betts to name a few.
