Song Kang, widely loved for delivering many hit K-dramas, recently left his fans disheartened after he announced a year-long break from the screens. Tenderly declaring his military enlistment, scheduled for April 2, the K-drama star took a moment to express his profound gratitude a day before embarking on a new journey. In his heartfelt letter to his fans, Kang also assured a prompt comeback.

Song Kang’s touching letter devoted to fans started with the star addressing his fans as “SONGPYEON.” He went on to admit to the swirling mix of nervousness and anticipation capturing the most space in his mind. The emotional write-up read, “As you may have seen in news articles, I’m finally going! SONGPYEON who has loved me since my debut in 2017 and even after that! I think I am who I am because you are always there. So many memories and years are passing by like a flash these days.”

Despite the looming separation due to Kang’s military Service enlistment, he continued to offer words of comfort and even promised to return to them. Adding that he looks forward to the day when he would get to stand alongside his fans again, he wrote, “I won’t be by your side for a while, but time will return quickly. I hope to greet you in person again then with a grateful and healthy heart. When that time comes, I hope to see you happier than you are now.”

With a final declaration of love and gratitude, he ended his note saying, “I will return healthily, safely, and happily. I love you. Always.”
