BTS ARMY Upset Over BigHit Music Promoting V’s Fake YouTube Channel
BTS ARMY has been upset over the fact that BigHit Music has been actively promoting an impersonation YouTube channel of V, despite the fans pointing out that it is fake and should be taken down.

Ever since the YouTube “topic” channel of BTS member V was taken down, fans have been clamouring for the channel’s revival. The BTS ARMY has been persistent in demanding the restoration from YouTube, BTS’ management company BigHit Music, and Geffen Records. Although the septet does not have individual accounts on the streaming platform, YouTube consists of auto-generated “topic” channels for the seven boys. V’s topic channel, which had over 2 million subscribers, was deleted due to reasons unknown. Giving in to the fans’ request, BigHit Music restored it. But, despite V’s account being back on the BANGTANTV list, the Army is now upset for another reason.

According to a report by Koreaboo, when V’s topic channel was removed, an impersonator created a fake account of the artist. Although it was not handled by BigHit Music, the agency has been actively promoting the channel on their official accounts, presumably unaware that it was fake. In the beginning, the dummy account had only a hundred subscribers. However, due to the promotions, the channel has managed to garner more than 200,000 subscribers.

“Thank you, YouTube for the support! Create a Short with “FRI(END)S” now on YouTube Shorts” Read the promotional note on X (formerly Twitter).

The BTS Army was quick to take note of the false YouTube handle, asking BigHit Music to resolve the issue. But so far, the company has not taken any steps to remove it. This has disappointed V’s admirers, who have expressed their discontent over the matter on X, claiming that the rapper has been “poorly treated” by the agency.

“Is there anyone left with a minimum of professionalism in HYBE???” questioned one user. “How disgusting that you even posted the WRONG link that we’ve been requesting you to remove. YouTube has confirmed that all these problems are fully in your hands to fix! I hope V sues you,” remarked another angry fan. “Not y’all linking a fake channel that is impersonating Tae & that we are currently struggling to take down,” commented a third individual distastefully.

On the work front, V unveiled the music video of his latest digital single FRI(ENDS)S on March 15. He is currently serving in the army, along with the other members.
