Kolkata: Around 60 state government women employees on Tuesday went on a protest march along the main corridors of the Writers' Buildings, the state secretariat, against spurt in sexual violence and atrocities against women across West Bengal.
Officials sources said the protesters, all pro-left women employees, held placards decrying the state government's "apathy" to sternly deal with the offenders. The protesters paraded the corridors except the VVIP and protected areas for nearly 30 minutes.
