HYDERABAD: A grudge against his master had led the watchman to murder his employer in Saroornagar recently.M Narayana Reddy, a scientist at the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, was found murdered in a newly constructed building at Saroornagar. Police said the watchman, Satyanarayana has been arrested and confessed to the crime. “Narayana Reddy was having a drink at the newly constructed building when the watchman smashed his head with a boulder from behind. Reddy was then dragged to the lawns and his throat slit,” Saroornagar police inspector K Purnachandra Rao said.Police said Narayana Reddy had constructed a small house attached to the building and promised to give it to Satyanarayana, who began staying there. However, he later asked him to vacate the house, following which the latter bore a grudge against Reddy. It was around 6.30 p.m when Narayana Reddy went to the house he was constructing for his daughter at Gayatrinagar crossroads in Karmanghat.After interacting with Satyanarayana for a while, Reddy sat down for a drink, when he was attacked from behind. Saroornagar police have sent Satyanarayana to judicial remand.
