London: A prostitute feared dead after two more bodies were found by UK police hunting the killer of three women said before she went missing that she had to continue working because "I need the money."
Paula Clennell voiced her fears in a televised interview just days before she vanished in Ipswich, eastern England, amid fears that a serial killer was on the loose.
Five naked bodies have been found in and around the town of Ipswich, eastern England, in the last 11 days. Detectives have identified three of the dead women as prostitutes and believe Clennell, 24, and Annette Nicholls, 29, are the other two women found dead.
In the interview, broadcast on ITV News, Clennell said the killings this month had made her "a bit wary about getting into cars" but she would probably continue to do so.
The footage was shot on December 5, four days before she went missing and shows the back of Clennell's head, covered by a hood.
She said she had seen fewer men and prostitutes on the streets of Ipswich, because, she believed, of a greater police presence. "The girls are probably wary about coming out now," she told the reporter.
Clennell said hearing what had happened to one of the dead prostitutes, Gemma Adams, whose naked body was found on December 2, had made her feel "sick."
She said she had a "couple of nasty experiences" including being beaten up once.
