Jackie Shroff Sends Love To Kudrat Ka Kanoon Co-Star Hema Malini On Birthday
Taking to his Instagram story, Jackie Shroff shared an old picture from the younger days of Hema Malini and celebrated the special day.

One of the most beloved figures in the Indian film industry, veteran actress Hema Malini, turns a year older today. Known for her illustrious career that features an array of unforgettable films, Malini celebrates her 76th birthday on Wednesday, October 16. As special greetings are pouring in from her fans and well-wishers, Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff also extended his warm wishes.

Taking to his Instagram story, Jackie Shroff shared an old picture from the younger days of Hema Malini and celebrated the special day. With the hashtag #HemaMalini, he added a love emoji to it.

The picture appears to be from the Dream Girl actress’ 20s during a dance performance. Dressed in traditional attire with her makeup and jewellery on point, Hema Malini could be seen striking a dance pose for the picture. For those unaware, the actress is an accomplished classical dancer and is trained in Bharatnatyam. From films to live performances, the actor-turned-politician never refrained from showcasing her dancing talent in front of the audience.

Jackie Shroff and Hema Malini, both significant actors from the 80s, have worked together in films like Kudrat Ka Kanoon. It tells the story of Dr Vijay Verma (Jackie Shroff), who saves a labourer from some goons, only to find himself framed in a murder case and arrested. As the matter escalates, Vijay’s daughter is killed while his wife is forced to leave the village. This is when Advocate Bharti Mathur (Hema Malini) comes to the family’s rescue, vowing to find them justice.

More About Hema Malini

Born in Tamil Nadu, Hema Malini began her acting journey in 1961 in the South. It was in 1968 that she made her Bollywood debut with Raj Kapoor’s Sapno Ka Saudagar. Later, she rose to fame with her exceptional performance in Seeta Aur Geeta, followed by some of her acclaimed films like Sholay, Dream Girl, Naseeb, Kranti, Satte Pe Satta, Johny Mera Naam and others.

After a successful film career, Hema Malini ventured into politics by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party. She also made her political debut in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, running from the Mathura constituency, the seat that she holds till date.
