UDF not allowed to present resolution

KOLLAM: The Kollam Corporation Council meeting witnessed uproarious scenes, after UDF Councillors attempted to present a resolution to condole the death of RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan.  As the Council meeting began on Monday, opposition Councillor S Sreekumar stood up and tried to present a condolence resolution on  TP’s death. However, sensing his move from the first few words he uttered, the CPM Councillors were quick to raise objection.  The belligerent CPM Councillors did not allow him to proceed anymore. Mayor Prasanna Earnest said the resolution cannot be presented as it is political in nature.
